Focus Group Discussion in Etinan

Clement Isong Foundation had a successful step down training on Social Audit and Freedom of Information Act at Afaha Effiat, Etinan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.

Beneficiaries were introduced to the #actionaid Strategic Partnership Agreement Project, the strategic objectives and effective ways young people can build coalition to demand for good governance,take climate action and protect vulnerable groups.

The step down training stressed the importance of Youth Synergy and active socioeconomic and political participation for a Just,Green, Feminist and Transformed Society.

Beneficiaries highlighted key challenges their respective Communities faced, and inquired how they could transform these challenges into opportunities.
Beneficiaries were taught how to engage stakeholders through Freedom of Information Letters, leveraging on strong youth coalition to sustain request for community charter.

There was a review of the Etinan Action plan with timeframe and  commitments  from participants to drive the process of Engagement.

The Clement Isong Foundation also held a Focus Group Discussion for young men and women aged 18 to 35 to understand the peculiar threats,challenges and Opportunities available for this age group. The Focus Group Discussion also sort to understand what training needs they want.

The Focus Group Discussion was scintillating as participants shared their experiences, their limitations and their willingness to leverage on the newly established partnership with Clement Isong Foundation to lead the change that they want.
